Bawdsey Quay Watersports Centre is situated on the north bank of the River Deben opposite Felixstowe Ferry on the Suffolk coast. With access to the mouth of the River Deben at all states of tide, we have both river and sea sailing areas offering a safe learning environment for all abilities.
We are licensed by the Royal Yachting Association, the national governing body for sailing and powerboating, and the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority. The Centre is inspected annually by these bodies, to ensure the highest standards of safety and quality.
The Centre has different classes of sailing dinghies including Picos, Toppers, Lasers and Wayfarers. Saftey boats are always on the water when sailing activities are taking place. Our courses are accredited by the RYA.
